Selby Public Library will partner with Plato's Closet to host a teen fashion show and clothing swap on Saturday, July 26. Bring 1-2 gently used clothing items to swap/exchange. The clothing swap will run from 11 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A one-hour teen fashion show, "Fashion Dash!", will begin at 1 p.m. The latest teen fall fashions, just in time for the new school year will be featured. Local teen sensation Savannah Brady will also be performing during the fashion show. Representatives of CYD, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota, and other local agencies will be on site. This is your opportunity to learn about all the wonderful opportunities these organizations offer teens.

During this six-session mini camp, participants will program LEGO NXT robots to complete challenges ranging from dancing robots to running obstacle courses! This fun-filled camp is great for beginners to robotics. This mini-camp requires attendance at all 6 sessions and will culminate with a public showcase of the participants' programming on August 6, 2014. A baker's dozen (26 total particpants) of paired teams will collaborate through the 6 weeks and showcase. Recommended for ages 10 to 18. Photo release permission requested from parents and caregivers of participants.
