Description:
 To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Banned Books Week, as well as to commemorate the life of the author Ray Bradbury who died in June, we will watch, and afterwards all discuss, the 1966 film Fahrenheit 451, based on his classic 1953 novel. Its eerie commentary on book burning and the effects of mass media may provide fuel for discussion.

We will have another program on Oct. 20 to discuss the book itself.
